Campaign against the Temporal Milestone

Video made in partnership with the Socio-environmental Institute (ISA) on the occasion of the trial at the Federal Supreme Court (STF), which should endorse or not the injunction granted by Minister Edson Fachin, on May 7, 2020, which suspended the Normative Opinion 001/2017 of the General Counsel of the Union (AGU).

The thesis of the "temporal milestone" ignores the more than 500 years of violence against indigenous peoples. One of the darkest recent periods occurred during the civil-military dictatorship (1964-1985), when hundreds of indigenous groups were decimated by diseases brought by agents of the State and the survivors, if any, were expelled from their traditional lands by the same public agents and employees of farms, roads, hydroelectric plants, among other works.
